The main 70 metre radio telescope at the Canberra Deep Space Communication Centre at Tidbinbilla. This is part of the international network that receives radio signals from the Mars rovers, Voyager, Moon missions etc.

Holbrook, NSW is home to the HMAS Otway, a decommissioned submarine. I don't know why they need to concrete it in though, it's not like it would be stolen during the night....
The orange glow is not rust, it's the setting sun glinting off the sheen of the sub.

Standing on the Edge of Tomorrow

This is currently my highest rated image so far on Flickr, almost 2000 views now!

I was struck by this view, and you can only really get a good feeling if you view it at a large size. The light over the hills was just spectacular. I fiddled with it in photoshop to bring out the clouds but can't remember how I did it now!

It's that time of year again when natures hues begin to shine again, I love the colours that nature produces, and need to find some time to get out and photograph the leaves before they all drop. I think I almost enjoy the colours of Autumn more than Spring.
